waiting for your tongue

In 2001, six Canadian women artists were asked by gallery dealer James Baird to explore the poetry of Deborah Wise Harris. The artists included myself, Lynn Donoghue, Eliza Griffiths, Dana Holst, Darlene Cole, and Barb Webb.

This series of paintings explores vulnerability, the dissolving line between self and losing one’s sense of self. The scantily clad women hover between two worlds, simultaneously dressed and undressed, inside and out.
