dead This photo-digital series is darkly funny, confronting the notion of duality, the battle of self-acceptance and the slippery disintegration between victim and victimizer within the self. Director, model and subject, through digitally manipulated photography I create portraits that skew the concept of self-portraiture. The images and text interrogate female identity, sexual agency and fantasy, questioning its physical and psychological boundaries. The use of self-imaging/re-imaging is deployed in playful and interactive ways in order to explore the nexus of culture and identity construction .My work addresses the evolution and paradox of identity, exposing the problematic of truth within image and self. |
