Oblivion Runs - Synopsis (5:00 min) Andrea Cooper, 2004
A lonely woman on the edge of the island is intent on swallowing
the whole world. The blonde & bloody serial killer sexpot
consumes. Alas, nothing ever stays….all those that inhabit
her terminate her body, including her internal organs. But she
carries on. Like an empty house with an entire universe in her
gut she obliterates and devours. Desire is the force that prevents or protects an individual from
being completely alone. There is the self and the unconscious
force below that self. There is a certain tragedy and superiority
in the desire to isolate. Oblivion Runs explores that there is
truth in the notion that you are always with yourself. Oblivion Runs is a 5 min video shot on beta, and digitally manipulated
in Adobe After-Effects. |
